Zee Bangla debuts its premiere sketch comedy show on Bengali TV, Apur Sangsar’ conducted by Saswata Chatterjee (Bob Biswas from Kahani fame). The show is a family-oriented circus, where there aren’t any lions or jokers but you will be able to swing on the swing of laughter. The Apu family comprises Sarbojaya her widowed mother of three boys who’s obsessed with Dev who is the Superstar and during her prayers, she sings to her son Apu who is a bank worker, will be just the same as his idol. The younger brothers, Topu and Dipu, who are aspiring poets and Dipu filmmaker at heart, have both been laid off from work. In addition, Sharmila, Apu’s spouse Sharmila is an aspirational actress , who married Apu for the sole reason that he is close to film studios. The last but certainly not least there is the added garnishing through Dhananjoy as the male servant to the home that is ever-ending trouble. Also, celebrity guests are expected to be in each episode, adding to the confusion of comedy.
