Mullum Malarum is the story of a man named Dharmadurai who is a gorgeous girl Mahalakshmi. Senthalai is a hardworking man who has improved the status of his family from nothing to being stable. Even though he is a successful businessman but he doesn’t get recognition from his peers because his education is not up to par and he is employed in a blue collar position. However, his brother is well educated and has the respect of everyone. Mahalakshmi is engaged to her brother. However, fate intervenes and Mahalakshmi is married to Dharmadurai. What happens to this couple who are not compatible? How they live their lives will be the central theme of the film.
