However, his brother is educated and enjoys everybody’s respect. Mahalakshmi becomes engaged to his brother. Then fate intervenes, and Mahalakshmi gets married to Dharmadurai. What happens to this couple who are not compatible? How they manage their lives is at the heart of the story.
