The plot of Prema follows the story of the two couples, Peter and Laxmi and their relationship with their three-year-old daughter. Although Peter comes from a lowly household, Laxmi hails from a wealthy family. If Laxmi as well as Peter suffer fatal injuries due to an accident, the responsibility of their daughter was handed over to the control of Prema (Peter’s sister). The circumstances however cast Prema in a negative image, and this makes Pranay (Laxmi’s sister) assume the responsibility for the child. The story will unfold in the midst of Prema and Pranay independently battle for the right of take possession of the child despite every family’s odds.
