The plot of Prema follows the story of the love story of Peter and Laxmi that live together with their three-year-old daughter. Although Peter is from a low-income home, Laxmi hails from a wealthy family. If Laxmi as well as Peter die due to an accident, the responsibility of their daughter was passed to the care of Prema (Peter’s sister). The circumstances however cast Prema in a negative picture, making Pranay (Laxmi’s cousin) to assume responsibility for the child.
