Nakshi Kantha

Shabnam is an Muslim girl of birth and she dreams of becoming an ophthalmologist. She is committed to changing the traditional views and discrimination within the community through her ongoing search for a connection with her tradition-based Bengali Hindu family that she was raised with since childhood. Shabnam's life is turned upside down as she flees her husband who was forced to marry her, and is saved by a compassionate doctor Jashojit. Jashojit gets married in order to support Shabnam on her journey to make herself self-sufficient and fulfill her goals. This is the story of the story of how Shabnam realizes her dream of becoming a physician, as she struggles to fit within a traditional Hindu family. She also struggles to get recognized by her family members.
