Vijay Comedy Awards

The Vijay Awards They are hosted by the Tamil TV channel STAR Vijay to honour excellence in Tamil film. They have presented the awards each year since the beginning of 2006, and the most recent, the 9th edition of the ceremony to award winners being held in April. The award winners are chosen by a jurycomprised of prominent film makers, critics as well as technicians. Winners of a different category called Favourite awards are chosen via public votes. They are supported through Reliance Mobile, Univercell and Close Up.Owing to the controversy surrounding indulgence with desires of the individual and a decline in public trust, the awards were removed in the year of 2015.
